  Description

  Our vision is to make Amazon Pay as the most trusted, convenient and rewarding Payment Experience. As Amazon Pay expands and builds new capabilities, building customer trust will be the key to drive customer adoption and enable robust business growth. This role would be a part of the "Customer Trust" team in Amazon Pay; we are responsible for preventing fraud and reducing cost of business waste across Amazon Pay products and use cases.

  Have you ever thought about what it takes to detect and prevent fraudulent activity among hundreds of millions of payment transactions? In this role you will be responsible for analyzing terabytes of data to identify specific instances of risk, broader risk trends and points of customer friction, developing scalable solutions for prevention. You will serve as the end-to-end owner of advanced analytics and risk mining solutions to solve for payments fraud and abuse.

  This role calls for an individual to showcase high judgment and decision-making skills to balance customer experience with financial impact. There will be a steep learning curve, adding a fair amount of business skills to the individual. Our ideal candidate has a knack for solving complex problems, is driven by data, and has the written and spoken ability to engage with and influence executive-level cross-functional stakeholders.

  Key job responsibilities

  Understand drivers, impacts, and key challenges in the India Payments fraud and abuse domain

  Perform complex data analysis (root cause deep dives, correlations, regressions, simulations, and optimization) to identify opportunities to reduce fraud and abuse

  Translate data into actionable insights for the stakeholders and influence product and ML roadmap

  Build and manage analytics solutions to protect Amazon Pay from Fraud and Abuse, including socializing the vision and results with Senior Leaders across Amazon Pay

  Partner with business teams to create key performance indicators and measurement frameworks

  Work with Payment Instrument and category leaders to assess and mitigate vulnerability in future launches

  About the team

  IN Pay Customer Trust team's vision is to uphold the customer's trust in the Amazon payment products by proactively countering payment Fraud and incentive Abuse. We are responsible to optimize Amazon's spend by reducing incentive for abuse and prevent fraudulent activity all while strengthening Amazon's regulatory posture across RBI/NPCI etc. Our team is responsible for driving initiatives in following areas:

  Rewards and Payments Abuse prevention

  Payments and Social Engineering Fraud Prevention

  PA and PPI Risk management compliance

  Central limits and risk rule management platform

  We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

  Bengaluru, KA, IND

  Basic Qualifications

  3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  3+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience

  Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights

  Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders

  Experience with Excel

  Preferred Qualifications

  Hands-on experience with machine learning algorithms incl. but not restricted to regression and classification rules on Python / R or any other applicable platform

  Hands-on experience with advanced Excel, SQL and visualization tools such as Power BI, Quick Sight, Tableau etc.
