  Position Description

  We are seeking Business Analysts (Financial Accounting) to join our team in Honolulu, HI!

  This is an exciting full-time opportunity to work in a dynamic team environment on technology systems in supporting our City and County clients working side-by-side in a collaborative environment for modernizing existing technologies and practices.

  Your future duties and responsibilities

  Requires skills to design, test, and support system users in the ERP IT practices. You will collaborate with the client on technology and business process related efforts for gathering functional business requirements, designing new system functionality, software code release testing, and supporting end users.

  Primary duties are:

  • Lead and facilitate team and client meetings to gather and document requirements, design system enhancements, drive user feedback, prioritize clients' initiatives and conduct quality assurance testing through completion of project.

  • Write system documentation, including developer guides, design specifications, and topic papers.

  • Create test scripts based on business and technical requirements.

  • Perform system testing using test scripts to ensure requirements are met.

  • Document, submit, and collaborate software defects and resolution with various CGI product support teams.

  • Execute regression testing scripts.

  • Support the application help desk and other team members responding to end-user calls.

  Must have:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.

  • Great attention to detail and follow through requests and issues to completion.

  Required qualifications to be successful in this role

  • Two to Five years working in Financial Accounting and/or Budgeting applications.

  • Knowledgeable about budget cycle preparation procedures and practices.

  • Experience implementing and supporting IT systems.

  • Experience in all facets of the IT project lifecycle.

  • Experience in system analysis, design, and testing.

  • Experience supporting an application help desk.

  • Ability to prioritize effectively, multitask, and manage time appropriately.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and clear communication skills.

  • High level of interpersonal skills and customer service-oriented experience and proficiency.

  • Able to complete assignments with minimal supervision.

  Years of experience:

  Requirements and Gap Analysis - 3 to 5 years

  Design and associated documentation - 3 to 5 years

  Testing and associated documentation - 3 to 5 years

  Project scheduling and associated documentation - 3 to 5 years

  Desired Skills:

  • Development of form designs using open-source software, BIRT (Business Intelligence and Reporting Tool) - preferred but not mandatory

  • Technical knowledge of Oracle database concepts and scripting.

  • Microsoft Office components.

  Oracle SQL - 1 to 2 years

  BIRT form Development - 1 to 2 years

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $76,300 - $133,500."
