  Leidos is seeking a Business Analyst with practical knowledge in taxation and in leading the creation and management of business requirements, including articulating business requirements to information technology organizations within a large federal agency. For this role, the Business Analyst will be addressing requirements relative to Assembler programming for Mainframe environments. The Business Analyst should understand the needs of the business's organization and be innovative in how they will stay abreast of ongoing strategies, plans, roadmaps, and implementation plans.

  Primary Responsibilities:

  In collaboration with developers, create test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate business requirements and test and/or coordinate testing of new installations or upgrades.Work to achieve key project and/or program objectives and deliverables.Responsible for/or supports entire projects/programs spanning multiple business or technical areas.Analyze customer business needs/requirements and participates in the communication of the business requirements to information technology experts, particularly application developers but not exclusive to developers.Effectively communicates with team members and individuals representing various levels of leadership within the business or IT organizations and presents findings and recommendations to Information Technology developers and other stakeholders.Regularly demonstrate ingenuity and creativity to develop solutions to achieve business or IT objectives.Determine system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, execution of user acceptance, and may coordinate testing and system controls.

  Basic Qualifications:

  Expert knowledge of drafting/documenting, communicating, and managing business requirements, functional requirements, and design specifications.Experience in addressing requirements relative to Assembler development and development for Mainframe infrastructure.Well-developed organizational and time-management skills.Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.Bachelor's degree and 4 or more years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.Ability to be cleared by the US Government via a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI)

  Desired Qualifications:

  Experience with Income and/or Business taxes.Experience working on projects in an IRS/Treasury environment.Experience working with Agile methodologies and scrums teams and how requirements are created and managed using an Agile methodology.

  Pay Range:

  Pay Range $68,900.00 - $124,550.00

  The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
