We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join the Cross-Org Architecture Analytics & Partner Engagement team within Amazon Transportation Services Flow Optimization Tech.
The role will collaborate with program managers, product managers, research scientists, software developers, and business stakeholders to make an impact in the Amazon Logistics network to include both Under the Roof (UTR) and Line Haul areas of focus.
As a Business Analyst, Amazon Transportation Services Flow Optimization Technology, you will interact with many of Amazon’s most complex systems to synthesize data and compile valuable insights that increase customer satisfaction. Those findings will be the genesis for metrics and scalable mechanisms that will fuel new opportunities. This role will enable the creation of products that reduce transportation and variable costs, while delivering speed of execution for our customers. The successful candidate will make a material impact bridging collective efforts between multiple stakeholders. This position will be responsible to expose failure points within our current systems and dive deep into existing algorithms to explain outliers. The Business Analyst will need to enjoy the challenge of ambiguity in data and an experience at communicating insights and creating narratives that are simple yet powerful and drive change.
Key job responsibilities
Perform data research to identify opportunities to reduce fulfillment and transportation costs
Support business decisions with well thought out data narratives
Design, develop, and establish metrics to provide strategic insights
Systematically identify failure points and follow through on resolutions to ensure compliance
Pull and report data from numerous databases (using Excel, SQL, and/or other data management systems) and experience to dive deep and utilize known research and problem solving techniques
Communicate complex insights to stakeholders, both verbally and in writing

The Business Analyst, Amazon Transportation Services Flow Optimization Technology has knowledge with analytical skills and experience developing insights from data. This role should be able to communicate those insights effectively to business stakeholders. This requires excellent business acumen and communication skills, as well as the ability to work with leaders to develop and define key business questions. The Business Analyst, Amazon Transportation Services Flow Optimization Technology will demonstrate critical analytical thinking and the willingness to dive deep.
About the team
This team supports cross functional initiatives requiring innovation across ATS Flow Optimization Tech (ATS FO). With an end-to-end view, the team also supports cross-org analytics that drive valuable insights with metrics and product suggestions. Lastly, the team partners closely with the multiple organizations to identify product gaps, new solutions, and serve as an evangelist for external customers.

Basic Qualifications
3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
Bachelor's degree
Experience with Excel
Experience with SQL
Preferred Qualifications
Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $59,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
