The Business Analyst will work on a cross-functional Agile scrum team and be responsible for designing, testing, demoing and documenting improvements to an enterprise web application. This role will evaluate business features to determine the best approach for meeting the acceptance criteria within the existing application. Additional responsibilities include being involved in backlog refinement, planning of sprints, sprint reviews/demos and software compliance standards.
This role is based in our Knoxville Delivery Center
Your future duties and responsibilities
• Working in a cross-functional scrum team, interacting daily with other team members.
• Assisting in writing user stories with SMART acceptance criteria.
• Supporting testing activities including test preparation, ensuring cases and scripts cover all requirements and design specifications. Writing automated and manual test cases and scripts based on requirements and user stories.
• Implementing test cases manually or using automated test tools and supporting Feature and Regression Testing efforts.
• Proactively bringing issues and problems to the attention of the team; generating, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions.
• Logging defects, testing/retesting defects, tracking progress and results and reporting status to the scrum master.
• Updating product documentation for new or existing functionality.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Must work from the CGI Knoxville office.
• Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline preferred.
• Two plus years' experience as a Business Analyst
• Proficient in gathering requirements and working with Product Owners, Architects and Product Management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Java exposure preferred but not required.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Some programming experience preferred.
• Experience reviewing code and development requirements.
• Jira preferred.
• Test automation in robot framework-nice to have.
• Facilitation skills, including leading meetings, presentation skills, problem resolution/mediation.
• Ability to work with virtual teams spanning global time zones and efficiently manager workload.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to: skill set level; experience and training; and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $50,000 -$82,000.
