Job Description:
C.H. Robinson is seeking a Business Analyst in the San Jose, California area to work closely with Product Management and Engineering teams in developing solutions in our software application including for our brokerage reseller program, where we negotiate rates with major carriers and apply a markup for customers. As a subject matter expert (SME) across various business domains, you will engage with cross-functional stakeholders to understand their needs, translate them into functional requirements, and advise on technical solutions. Key responsibilities include: creating trend reports and identifying opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and growth; analyzing the feasibility of, and developing requirements for, new features and enhancements to existing features; managing customer onboarding, including account setup, configuration, and training; developing key performance indicators to track supply chain network changes' impact; conferring with personnel to ensure successful functioning of newly implemented systems or procedures; putting together training guides for customers and internal users; coordinating with offshore engineering teams in real time; gathering and analyzing information on problems or procedures to develop alternative methods; documenting findings of study and preparing recommendations for implementation of new systems, procedures, or organizational changes; participating in proof of concept and pilot activities; standardizing and maintaining requirements for new functionality evaluations; engaging in early testing and validation with stakeholders prior to go-live; and supporting ongoing user feedback process and addressing user support issues. This position requires approximately 15% domestic travel. Must live within commuting distance of San Jose, CA. The salary noted below indicates a national wage range for this position with C.H. Robinson. The annual salary range for the Business Analyst position in San Jose, CA is $100,963 to $135,600 .
Basic Qualifications:
The position requires at least a bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Business, Data Analytics, or a related field, plus at least two (2) years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or another similar role working in the transportation/logistics industry. A qualified applicant's experience must include: 2 years of experience devising and executing data integration strategies for presenting narratives to the end user; 2 years of experience in utilizing analytical tools, evaluation workflows, and related activities, primarily in the supply chain and distribution industry; 2 years of experience overseeing commerce and tech collaborations, concentrating on resolving business issues and propelling resolutions; 2 years of experience examining and interpreting fiscal documents to establish a foundation for enhancing client operations; and 2 years of experience employing R, Python, and SQL to develop prototype models and trial runs.

Compensation Range
$65,300.00 - $135,600.00
