About the Role
The Novartis Learnership Programme is open to the unemployed youth of South Africa. These learnership opportunities means that the succesfull candidates will complete the Business Administration qualification (NQF 4. ID: 61595) and do workplace experience with the workplace company whilst at the same time complete the portfolio of evidence as prescribed by the learnership qualification.
The Medical Affairs Business Administration Learnership aims to provide experience and exposure to our Medical business. The learner will provide support to the different divisions with day-to-day activities and through the exposure gain an overview of, insight into, exposure to and experience in the overarching function of the Medical Department.
1. Strong scientific acumen, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
2. Must be able to adapt, organize, prioritize, and work effectively in a matrix-environment as part of a multifunctional brand team as well as in a constantly changing environment.
3. Knowledge of all aspects of the drug development life- cycle an advantage.
4. An understanding of internal/external ethical guidelines relevant to the pharmaceutical industry an advantage.
5. Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
6. Strong personal integrity, teamwork abilities, and customer focus are necessary.
7. Project management skills and high drive to execute scientific activities timeously to achieve Medical Affairs
objectives.

Role Requirements
Education:
• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Life Sciences such as Pharmacist, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist
• MSc desirable.
