CURRENT OPPORTUNITY TO JOIN OUR TEAM: The Wood County HumanServices Department, has an immediate opening for a Bus Driver. Thisposition provides quality and efficient transportation services to olderadults and adults with disabilities. RESPONSIBILITIES A. ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS 1. Complete daily pre-trip vehicle inspection, maintain dailychecklist, and report maintenance or operating problems to theTransportation Dispatch Coordinator. 2. Assist passengers on and off thebus if they are in need of assistance. 3. Ensure passengers are seatedsafely and using appropriate safety restraints. 4. Secure passengers inwheel chairs or other mobility devices into the correct position on thebus. 5. Provide transportation of older adults and adults withdisabilities. 6. Provide excellent customer service to allpassengers/riders of the Wood County Transportation bus program. 7. Keepall records as required and submit to the office daily/weekly;including, but not limited to: mileage, gas, passenger, etc. 8. Performroutine cleaning duties (daily, if necessary), maintaining the interiorand exterior of the vehicle. 9. Ensure safekeeping and/or deposits ofco-payments daily. 10. Responsible to know and practice the safetypolicies of the County. Perform all jobs in a safe and prescribedmanner. B. OTHER JOB DUTIES 1. Accept supervision and follow directions;perform additional duties as requested by the supervisor. 2. Act as anAmbassador for the Wood County Transportation program. Promote servicesprovided through the program, including educating riders on routes andfares. 3. Make constructive suggestions and comments to TransportationDispatch Coordinator on expanding and/or improving service, and of theconcerns and opinions of passengers as expressed to you. 4. Participatein all appropriate and scheduled training sessions and/or staffmeetings, as required. 5.
