  The Building Automation Service Sales Manager is committed to promoting Siemens' strong market position for delivering smart building technology to help our customers create outstanding experiences for their customers. Our Sales Managers lead a team responsible for transforming buildings to be digitally connected and controlled and with your strong leadership skills and passion for team building you’ll help find and hire top talent, develop employees, and promote long-term retention.  

  As a Building Automation Service Sales Manager you will:

  Promote team selling and expansion of existing relationships across divisions and/or geographic areas. 

  Act as a resource to sales employees regarding our products, applications, and services; support the sales process through all phases, including job turnover and implementation. 

  Communicate goals, provide mentoring to develop skills, lead employee performance, and conduct performance appraisals and coach sellers to strategically assess customer needs and identify customer buying priorities.  

  Review bids to ensure accuracy to meet company and customer objectives. Assist employees in setting margins, identifying resources, assessing future business, and establishing executive-level relationships with targeted contractors and customers.  

  Network with field organization, headquarters, and other Siemens divisions to gain knowledge of offerings, share knowledge with your team and other employees, and develop sales forecasts and provide input to sales targets.  

  Assist the sales team in identifying market opportunities; develop strategies to improve impact to the company. Participate in development of long-range sales planning and growth strategies. 

  Articulate and drive our digitalization strategy, remote services, and big data analytics and maintain trade contacts and participate in industry association functions. 

  Travel overnight 10% on average for training and business development. 

  You will make an impact with these qualifications:

  Basic Qualifications: 

  Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a combination of education and experience will also be considered 

  10+ years of sales experience and proven track record within a similar industry 

  Technical proficiency in application of mechanical systems, electrical systems, IT, building technologies, and demand-side energy management

  Demonstrated ability to interpret job specifications and drawings to coach sellers in developing winning strategies

  Working knowledge and understanding of contracting business with tier of contractors

  English verbal and written communication skill

  Developed organizational, presentation, and negotiation skills 

  Proficient with Microsoft Office suite

  Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations  

  Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Management experience in the construction industry

  Proficiency with Salesforce CRM

  The pay range for this position is $148,470 - $254,520 with an annual incentive target of 25% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
