Description
We are looking for a reliable Budget Analyst to help us in effective budget planning and spending. You will conduct reviews of budget proposals and analyses of data to determine the correct allocation of funding. A budget analyst must have a strong mathematical mind and an ability to think critically. You should also be knowledgeable about all legal regulations pertaining to budgeting. We want to see candidates with strong attention to detail, writing skills and excellent communication ability. Budget Analysis and Reporting:
· Coordinates with IT and business managers to gather budget data.
· Models business scenarios and tracks performance metrics.
· Develops monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
· Analyzes trends and variances in budget performance.
· Develops ROI models to aid project prioritization.
Financial Management Tools and Processes:
· Ensures tool functionality aligns with Finance, IT Governance, and Program Office.
· Creates and maintains reusable datasets and dashboards.
· Develops analytical frameworks and tools for technical requirements.
· Designs and automates financial processes.
· Implements and maintains financial management tools and processes.
· Trains users on tools and processes.
· Designs system processes and workflows for financial management platform.
Application Support and Maintenance:
· Manages the maintenance and support of assigned financial applications.
· Participates in application evaluation and selection.
· Develops technical specifications for applications.
· Serves as technical subject matter expert for code development.
· Identifies data sources and ensures feasibility with corporate data.
· Analyzes and recommends improvements to system processes.
· Researches and applies middleware solutions.
· Provides Tier II and potentially Tier III application support.
· Troubleshoots existing systems and develops solutions.
Requirements
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent.
· Preferred: 4 years; experience with programming and database management
· Strong communication, project coordination, and financial modeling skills.
· Experience preparing, interpreting, and communicating financial analyses.
· Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
· Preferred: Database applications, ServiceNow
· CPA preferred.
