The Brokerage Operations Analyst Sr assists in completing functions and responsibilities of the Brokerage operations group primarily through data analysis, modeling, management, and report design. Works with internal and external customers and business partners to provide solutions and support for all levels of requests and identify data-related process improvement. Interprets data and provides recommendations to management.
The annual pay range for this position is $85,296.47 - $132,209.53 depending on experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Works with IT, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Finance, and external service vendors to manage all data activities associated with Brokerage Services. Acquires data from primary and secondary data sources and ensures data accuracy, consistency, timeliness, and integrity. Identifies and interprets trends or patterns in complex data. Makes business recommendations based on analysis and provides written reports upon request. Generates custom analytics and performs data analysis using statistical techniques and analytics tools. Presents findings to leadership. Writes database queries and stored procedures to streamline development needs of developers and project teams. Creates and distributes brokerage production reports and incentive reports in an accurate and timely manner. Works with management to prioritize business and information needs and align analytics to business processes. Develops other reports as needed, such as board package, Balanced Score Card, daily sales, and monthly and quarterly departmental review reports. Prepares and delivers presentations to management based on findings and / or recommendations. Maintains all forms and / or disclosures for the products marketed by Brokerage Services and ensures all forms are modified in accordance with compliance, internal policies and procedures, and external regulations. Maintains and retains product provider's approval of all modifications. Handles escalated problems with members, data, and / or systems. Provides optimum customer service to all internal and external customers and assists others with complex work-related matters in a courteous and timely manner. Enters trades, processes account transfers, deposits checks, and services requests for deceased, estate, probate, and / or custodial accounts. Maintains working knowledge of the department operations, including knowledge of insurance products (GAP, MMP, Debt Cancellation, CPI) and property/casualty program, and identifies opportunities for growth and improvement. May participate in special projects as assigned. The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in statistics, data analysis, information management, or relevant disciplines. 4 -6 years of experience in data analysis and data manipulation is required. Experience in all aspects of data management involving large data sets (data gathering, profiling, validation, and analysis). FINRA Series 7, 63 & 65 or 66 licenses preferred or equivalent. Must have a solid knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel and be comfortable working with spreadsheets and complex formulas. Ability to communicate clearly with managers and associates at all levels. Preferred experience with Tableau. Experience with financial systems is a plus.
