UPMC for Life Medicare Brokerage Sales team is seeking a Broker Manager, Associate!
The Broker Manager Associate, (BMA) recruits, trains, and manages the activities of UPMC for Life contracted Brokers who sell Medicare Advantage products in return for commission. The BMR prospects new licensed insurance agents in collaboration with UPMC for Life. The BMR will recruit, train, and coach all assigned agents to sell UPMC for Life Medicare Advantage plans and assist with increasing sales production. The BMR will receive a monthly sales target/ goal that are coordinated with sales territory. The BMR develops implements and manages strategies and programs for all groups to ensure retirees becoming eligible for Medicare are appropriately marketed UPMC coverage. Increases critical account membership penetration according to the annual marketing and sales plan. The BMR identifies sales opportunities to expand penetration by analyzing competitor trends and conducting quarterly business reviews. Manages critical accounts by directing group open enrollment activities with particular consideration for expense relative to outcome.

Responsibilities:
Manage ongoing sales relationships with agents and General Agencies.
Ability to develop and maintain credibility in the marketplace.
Monitor and be held accountable for sales activities for their agents to make certain all CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) and UPMC Health Plan rules and regulations are adhered to.
Demonstrate success in selling to the senior market.
Develop sound business implementation strategies to achieve sales goals outlined in the annual marketing plan.
Demonstrate leadership skills that will position the Broker team's success.
Train and develop agents to ensure all leads are attended to in an appropriate time and fashion.
Know and effectively communicate the major competitive advantages.
Provide management with various reports and evaluations of their agent's sales and activity.
Increase enrollment penetration in critical regions according to the marketing plan.
Drive individual and group sales through a team of outside appointed agents to achieve and/or exceed monthly sales target/goal.
Manage assigned team of agents.
Manage assigned team of agents who do not have a direct reporting structure to incumbent person. Business acumen to lead through data, relationship, and market savvy.
B.A. degree or equivalent industry experience required.
Three (3) years of successful health care sales and/or account management experience is required.
