Description
The primary responsibility of this role is to perform various tasks related to localization of content available in the Amazon Prime Video catalog, under general supervision. This is a contract position for 11 months which may be extended basis business need.
Key job responsibilities
The day to day job requires the individual to make judgment-based decisions by following a standard operating procedure. This will involve tasks such as:
Localizing SDH/Subtitles and metadata synopsis from English to Brazilian Portuguese
Quality check subtitles/metadata assets for translation accuracy (idiomatic, spelling, grammar, punctuation)
Lead quality audits to benchmark localized content and perform corrections
Create or fix subtitle, metadata and ensure high quality localization of content
Provide inputs to update Prime Video's style guides to continue to raise the bar on customer experience

Basic Qualifications
Fluent level proficiency in Brazilian Portuguese with understanding of current region specific jargon/colloquialism
Professional level proficiency - English
Preferred Qualifications
Experience and proficiency in Post house/Studios industry standards in the content Localization domain
Experience and understanding of digital media and/or digital video supply chain
The ability to apply critical thinking and provide analysis while working with creative content
Ability to provide a portfolio of localized content with translator credit available for review
Proven ability to deliver results and prioritize tasks in a fast-moving, dynamic environment.
