Billing Specialist

　　You will work closely with the Accounting and Client Care team to resolve customer billing issues and proactively manage customer accounts. This person will handle tactical responsibilities associated with client billing (e.g., maintaining our collections backlog, coordinating the various components of real-time billing), and drive the holistic vision for our billing flow (e.g., identifying process gaps, working with stakeholders to prioritize and implement improvements, advocating for high-prio features). This is a highly cross-functional role working across multiple software platforms and collaborating with multiple teams across the business. You will get as much responsibility as you demonstrate you can handle!

　　Account creation and maintenance of client list with a focus on accuracyManage customer credits and refundsUpdate customer payment informationInvestigate customer billing issues Process one-time customer paymentsCommunicate directly with Client Care regarding account inquiries Proactively manage customer accountsWork with clients directly to resolve past due balances, monitor collections backlog, oversee our customer reminder email process and improve the efficacy of our collections efforts Collaborate with various teams to identify gaps and implement improvements to our billing processes and systemsProcess requests for address changes, billing account changes, account terminations, and all other invoice-related activitiesMaintain documentation of billing policies, procedures, methods, and guidelinesPerform manual entry of usage-based billing and create manual one-time invoices for non-automated products/services

　　At least 3 years in a client facing billing or support roleHigh school diploma or equivalent High attention to detail and sense of urgencyAble to manage multiple workflows and prioritize tasksCritical thinking skills and strong analysis capability Outstanding communications and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated ability to establish positive relationships and work effectively with all internal and external constituenciesVersatility, flexibility, and willingness to work within changing priorities with enthusiasm
