What you'll do
It's safe to say, there's no shortage of variety in what we do. Here are some key accountabilities of the role:
Detects and prevents 3PL, carrier and driver theft/fraud.Detects collusion between delivery drivers and store staff resulting in greater exposure to shrink.Monitors and ensures DCs, 3PLs and stores are in compliance with the WMI receiving procedures.Develops partnerships with 3PL, Carrier and Store Managements, DCLP, DLPM and Logistics teams.Investigates and apprehends person(s) committing theft and or fraud against WMI in the Supply Chain.Completes the prosecution process: report to police, case reports, attend court and testify as required.Reports alert signals, indicating possible internal/external dishonesty to the appropriate members of Loss Prevention.
What you'll need

Applicants must be bilingual (French/English)A provincial security license is required to be employed in this position. As required by law, the applicant must be currently licensed under the applicable provincial statute and regulation prior to commencement of employment. Maintaining that license is also a requirement of employment as long as it is legally required.Knowledge of LP including observing individual behaviours, watching for alert signals; formal interviewing techniques in loss prevention situations; investigating cases of crime or neglect; observing people inconspicuously; monitoring for hidden merchandise; acting as a witness; managing cases, following police guidelines and requirements. Tools/machinery installation, operation, maintenance of CCTV equipment; using precision tools, instruments.Issue management skills including organizational skills; interviewing skills; interpersonal skills including conflict management; and information gathering including active listening skillsCommunication skills including discussing issues with others for the purposes of clarification or explanation; written (sweep audits, memos, documents, letters, reports, etc.); verbal (Distribution Centre, Home Office, external); oral presentations (i.e., Shrink meetings, internal/external conferences); answering critical questions about dishonest activities.Valid Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
