Job Description
The case manager is responsible for identifying, vetting, and processing potential foster parents for unaccompanied children. Duties include: coordinating referrals, service planning, and documenting services for assigned case load; acting as a liaison with stakeholders, including legal providers and immigration court; accepting crisis call to support families in need; participating in weekly face to face supervision with supervisor. This position requires fluency in both English and Spanish. Typical working hours are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, but the case manager will be expected to occasionally work weekends.
Skills and Requirements
Bilingual in Spanish and English.
1 or more years' experience providing case management supporting child welfare or immigrant populations.
Bachelor's degree in the behavioral sciences, human services, or social services fields or Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of progressive case management experience
Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, be organized and have excellent verbal and communication skills.
Proficiency with computer and common office equipment, as well as with MS Office products required. 1 year of experience in childcare.
