We are now offering a fascinating position asBid Managerworking out of ourColumbus, Ohiooffice.TheBid Manageris primarily responsible for the bidding process from initial RFP/contact through contract signing by overseeing the initiation and coordination of proposal technical development process and manage proposal related tasks.Essential FunctionsProvides standard technical product application assistance as required.Participates in review of sales proposals for products and service opportunities to determine proposal feasibility.Replies to sales inquiries and proposal approval requests in a timely manner. Reviews and analyze proposal requirements, ensure overall quality, and ensure 100% compliance with the Request for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposal (RFP) and other proposal requirements.Monitor progress to ensure task/s are accomplished according to scheduleMaintains current knowledge of market conditions and competitors and activities critical to the bidding process.Works proactively with Regional Sales Manager to ensure that cost estimates support the requirements, schedules, and contract terms and conditions.Supports the preparation of offers, bids, contracts and other sales-related documents required by customers for ADB products/services/solutions.Advises in review of sales proposals for products and service opportunities to determine proposal feasibility.Understands standard pricing and bid strategy. Utilizes standard sales techniques in order to help sell ADB products to established or prospective customers.Understands regulating authorities, code requirements, and other industry-specific factorsMaintains customer and distributor contact, providing technical product application assistance.Participates with the Regional Sales Manager in closing sales.Participates in development, editing and writing of original proposal responses and other sales-related documents.Analyzes geographic territory, customer requirements, and competitive activity to develop sales offers and bids designed to achieve sales goals.Provide comments and recommended adjustments to terms and conditions in a timely manner.Provides technical assistance to A&Es and provide budgetary pricing for projects that are in designSupports Regional Manager on day-to-day decision making (strategy)Being able to offer different alternatives, pro-actively in case of price issues or in case of deviations from specificationPreparing offer documents for clientsContacts customers/business partners for technical clarifications, active role for technical support to (end) customers before and during the sales acquisition phaseSupport of sales managers on request, e.g., during customer visits to ADB, factory acceptance tests (FAT) etc.Conducts site surveysWrites airfield lighting related standards and methodsContacts airfield third party suppliers and installation contractors, prepares RFQs for these, evaluates offers and selects the right one for each occasion.Position RequirementsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field strongly preferred2-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Background must include exposure to a variety of technical documentation.Familiar with F
