It'll be fun.Our BI & analytics portfolio comprises dashbards (Quicksight/Redshift) but also scalable data transformations and datamarts (Badger/git), custom tools (Audience Platform), one-time analyses and insights writeups.Key job responsibilitiesAs BI Engineer (BIE) in our team, you will be working directly with stakeholders to translate business requirements and our tech vision into a delivery roadmap against which you execute.A day in the lifeOn a typical day, you will attend the team standup, meet stakeholders to share progress and results, or discuss future requirements, build or update data models, verify data quality, derive insights or trends, and create compelling visualizations, and share your work with the team or collaborate on a project.The tech stack with which you will interact is- Redshift DWH- SQL querying- Quicksight BI platform- Badger data pipelines- Git code repositoryWe have a team happy hour (remote) every week, and regular in-person team events.About the teamWorldwide Field Enablement (WWFE) is responsible for providing enablement to SMGS customer-facing employees through training (self-paced, virtual, and ILT) and tools.The WWFE BI & Analytics team supports our stakeholders in making data-driven decision, monitoring adoption, analyzing business trends, and compiling senior leadership reporting.The team works hybrid, with most team members in HQ1, HQ2, and EWR.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Seattle, WA, USA- 10+ years of professional or military experience- 5+ years of SQL experience- Experience in the data/BI space- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.- Knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership- Experience with AWS technologies- Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining- Experience using git and data pipeline or orchestration tools like Badger, dbt, Airflow or similarOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
