Job Description
Responsible for managing the automated Benefits Administration (BenAdmin) function in the PeopleSoft payroll system to ensure timely benefit enrollment with vendors for 3,900+ employees. Other responsibilities include: Assist employees with benefits enrollment via PeopleSoft self-service; monitor and resolve weekly Harvard Pilgrim file errors using HPHConnect tool; work closely with the HR Service Center on benefit deduction adjustments/overrides; act as liaison between employees and benefit vendors for issue resolution. Work with Assistant Director on MA PFML and FMLA administrative responsibilities, including claims reconciliation and coordination of benefits billing for various leaves. Maintain Retiree Medical database for retirees and spouses; reconcile and process monthly Tufts Health Plan invoices for retiree medical coverage, and coordinate retiree billing through the VOYA Financial company. Act as liaison between retirees / COBRA participants and VOYA Financial; assist retirees/spouses in setting up VOYA automatic premium payments; reconcile monthly VOYA payments to Controller’s Office. Oversee student employees, including training and managing work schedules; assist in training Benefits Specialist. Conduct employee and faculty New Hire Orientations in conjunction with Benefits Specialist; update PowerPoint presentations as needed. Will train and oversee Benefits Specialist in annual summer leave project, ensuring that summer leave benefit payments are recovered properly.
Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $61,650 to $77,050; salary commensurate with relevant experience.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or appropriate combination of education and experience.
3+ years of benefits-related preferable.
Higher Ed focus desirable but not necessary. Experience with PeopleSoft HR, particularly Benefits Administration module, desirable, along with ability to work with Excel, PowerPoint and FileMaker Pro databases.
Requires strong customer service skills, including good communication skills, and analytical expertise for working with Benefits reports.
