  Who You Are

  The Benefits Platform team is the Justworks Labs benefits brokerage project. We have built an insurance quoting/enrollment platform in conjunction with a partner ecosystem.

  Reporting to the GTM Lead, the Benefits Consultant will work closely with the Benefits Platform team and our internal Customer Success team to ensure that any support-related requests that require a licensed broker are routed to the correct place. The person in this role will interact directly with prospects who have questions or concerns specifically related to the benefits being offered by the Benefits Platform. Also, they will be client-facing during the sales and ongoing support processes, answer questions, and provide guidance regarding benefits managed by the Benefits Platform. 

  Additionally, they will act as an analyst of the small group market, gathering overall pricing and comparing it to our master policies, collecting intel on carrier entrants and exits, and the quality of the small group market state by state.

What You Will Work On

  Not only will the Benefits Consultant work closely with the Health Initiatives team, but they will also partner with the Customer Success team, Sales team, and Risk and Insurance team at Justworks. They will also perform the following duties: 

  Manage support functions that deal specifically with supporting customers using benefits offered by the Benefits Platform

  Work closely with the Sales team during and after the sales process when a licensed broker is needed. Analyze the small group market state by state, relative to our master policies, making recommendations on where to focus on expanding our optionality

  Work closely with our Operations team to ensure groups are installed correctly

  Work closely with our onboarding and support teams to ensure groups are supported through their onboarding/enrollment processes

  Work with our internal teams (GTM, Operations) to improve internal processes/practices

Qualifications

  Licensed (or in the process of getting licensed) to sell small group health insurance in the state of New York, and other states

  Minimum of 5 years of experience in the insurance/PEO space

  Strong analysis skills 

  Experience in tech/SaaS a plus

  Able to apply creative solutions to a variety of issues in a fast-paced environment

  The base wage range for this position based in our New York City Office is targeted at $109,000.00 to $119,900.00 per year.

  Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location.  Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
