  Position: Batting Cage Attendant

  Rate: $15.75 per hour

  The Batting Cage Attendant is responsible for monitoring the batting cages,providing a positive customer service/experience and keeping the concessionsarea clean and operational at Schaefer Athletic Complex Batting Cage. Theshifts for this role will range from morning to evening hours and weekends.

  Responsibilities include:

  Responsible for the operation of the Batting Cage by opening and closing thebuildings and cages following proper procedures; collect, refill, andsell batting tokens and refreshments.Ensure a consistent number of pitched balls per round for patrons and organizeand store batting helmets and practice bats in proper position.Perform routine maintenance by keeping the building and the immediate areaclean and litter free. Correct or inform supervisor of any hazards.Explain and ensure that rules and safety standards are followed by allparticipants; monitor the activity in and around the batting cages includingthe hitting of balls inside the prescribed fenced area.Assist in an emergency situation such as medical emergencies, suspiciousbehavior or activity, etc. and be able to identify the location andsurroundings when identifying where emergency assistance might be needed.Close out cash register, count money, complete daily cash reports, andsubmit money collected and documentation to Supervisor.Respond to public inquiries in a courteous manner; provide informationwithin the area of assignment; resolve complaints in an efficient and timelymanner.Communicate issues/complaints to supervisor as needed.Required Experience:

  Previous customer service or other experience assisting the public preferred.Cash handling experience strongly preferred.CPR/AED and First Aid Certifications are preferred, required within 60days of hire.Minimum qualifications
