As a Barista, you will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional customer service, embodying the core values of the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club, and playing a pivotal role in the creation of an exciting new coffee program at The Market. Baristas at The Market are expected to possess a genuine passion for coffee and an unwavering dedication to crafting beverages of unparalleled excellence.

Customer Service Excellence:Model and uphold the high customer standards set by CBBC, ensuring a positive and memorable experiences for every guest.
Core Values Integrations:Exhibit and embrace the CORE VALUES of the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club in daily interactions with colleagues and guests.
Shift Leader:Serve as Shift Leader in the absence of CBBC Management, adapting to unique situations given the nature of CBBCs clientele.
Coffee Program Development:Contribute to the design and implementation of a new and innovative coffee program at The Market/The Inn at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club, showcasing your passion for coffee and commitment to excellence.
Branding Alignment:Implement the mission and guiding principles of Rise Up, our coffee partner, and ensure they resonate throughout the customer experience.
Face of Coffee:As the Face of MRKT x RISE UP, embody both brands and create a friendly and welcoming environment for guests.
Service Standards:Provide prompt, courteous, and efficient coffee service in accordance with CBBC and Rise Up standards.
Calm Under Pressure:Maintain a calm demeanor during high-volume periods, setting a positive example for the shift team.
Anticipation of Needs:Anticipate guest and market needs by continuously evaluating the environment and needs of our guests.
Team Collaboration:Work collaboratively with colleagues, demonstrating good communication to achieve collective goals while creating a positive and fun environment.
Passion for Coffee:Showcase a genuine passion for coffee, staying informed about different coffee styles, brewing methods, and industry trends.
Beverage Development and Crafting:Skillfully develop craft a variety of beverages (including cocktails), ensuring consistency and adherence to quality standards.
Bartending Skills:Create exciting cocktails for guests, demonstrating basic bartending skills.
Cleanliness and Organization:Maintain a clean and organized workspace, contributing to a hygienic and visually appealing environment.
Effective Training:Effectively train new colleagues using SOPS, Core Values and CBBC expectations.
Opening and Closing Procedures:Follow CBBC Policies and Procedures, taking responsibility for opening and closing procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be 21 and older
Previous experience as a barista in a similar customer-facing role is preferred.
TIPS certified and comfortable checking guests IDs to ensure safe service of alcohol.
Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and genuine interest in the coffee industry.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work in a face-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
