Summary Prepare and serve made-to-order espresso. Responsibilities Involve in preparing and serving customers with snacks, beverages (coffee, espresso, etc.). Order food items to be sold (i.e. Muffins, biscotti, snacks, etc.) and ensure retail stock is replenished as needed. Arrange items in and appealing marketing display for sale. Operates cash register and prepares necessary documentation for cash funds accountability. May assist in taking inventory. Performs housekeeping tasks and is accountable for maintaining a safe, clean workplace. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Successful completion of National Agency (NACI) background check required. Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation. Must be a US citizen. Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate. Must be able to work a schedule that meets the needs of the program. Work involves moderate physical effort in frequently lifting or moving objects weighing up to 30 pounds. Constant standing, bending, stooping and reaching. Qualifications Understanding of basic food handling techniques. Ability to follow oral instructions and perform routine manual tasks involving few steps. Must use judgment in sequencing tasks and be able to concentrate on uniform individual portions and to avoid distraction when serving several people at a time. Must have an understanding of personal hygiene standards and simple food handling techniques. Knowledge of basic arithmetic and cash handling techniques. Must have working knowledge and cleaning maintenance of the coffee machines. Exercise tact, good manners and courtesy when serving and assisting both customers and employees.
