The back-up Lead Person will assist the Department Manager, when needed, of our Felt Line operations in overseeing activities on the production floor to ensure on-time delivery. The person in this role works within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action.
Job requirements
· Coordinate all cell activities to assure the meeting of production schedules and customer satisfaction.
· Coordinate all cell activities to assure the meeting of cost goals and of maintaining the highest standards of quality.
· Coordinate and provide technical, quality and production leadership to cell team members.
· Provide cell leadership to continuously improve manufacturing assembly and process for all assigned products/processes.
· Perform administrative duties to support the business. Example: completion of labor sheets, verifying work order accuracy, updating Team Improvement Boards, etc.
· Ability to work outside the regular shift hours to set up the production line.
· Mentor and motivate team in safety, quality and productivity improvements.
· Ability to handle diverse activities simultaneously.
· Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
· Ability to communicate effectively and contribute to team projects.
· Strong project and team leadership.
