At AWS, we’re looking for an experienced leader to lead one of our Cloud Architect and Security, Risk and Compliance professional services delivery teams. We are looking for a Practice Manager with a successful record of leading enterprise customers through a variety of transformative projects, and the experience to lead a high-impact team of cloud and security engineers.
Key job responsibilities
Are you passionate to build and lead Secure Cloud Solution Implementations? Do you love building high impact teams that deliver outstanding results? Do you have broad technical skills and experience across multiple security domains such as Identity and Access Management, Incident Response, Data Protection, Infrastructure Security, DevSecOps, and Compliance? Can you build and lead a team of Cloud Architects and Security Engineers and Advisors?
As a Practice Manager, you will engage cross-functional teams to develop and implement customer solutions leveraging AWS services and build strategic solutions and re-useable assets, and lead a team of builders to raise the bar on security engagements. You will also lead internal initiatives to improve the way Professional Services engages with customers and delivers results. You will package, publish and share our best practices, secure operating principles, and repeatable offerings with our partner community, and extended global team. You will work to ensure we are implementing operational best practices internally, and applying AWS Architecture Design and Security Best Practices externally. You will help build and manage a team of Cloud Architect and Security experts with deep technical knowledge, and assist with the non-technical administrative work such as people management processes and changes.
About the team
The Cloud Architect and Security, Risk and Compliance team works with AWS's enterprise customers to design, build, and optimize their security, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure architecture to drive customer business results at scale. We do this by helping customers build the confidence and technical capability to move their most sensitive workloads to AWS. To be effective in our mission we need to inspire, influence, and deliver customer obsessed technically superior solutions.

Basic Qualifications
• 8+ years of experience delivering Consulting / Professional Services in leadership and execution roles
• 3+ years of direct people management leading a team of technical resources, preferably cloud architect and security engineers
• Consulting practice leadership as manager of sizable team with related goals and KPI’s, focused on cloud solutions, security delivery, security services, and people development
• Customer relationship management experience and collaboration skills
• Experience with leading solution delivery in multiple areas including (not limited to) security areas such as IAM, Incident Response, Compliance, Data Protection, or DevSecOps.
• BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications
• Strong understanding of Global Fortune 500 enterprise customers and partners operations, technology, and process.
• Experience with design of modern, scalable delivery models for cloud technology consulting services
• Direct people management experience leading a team of at least 10 technical consultants
• Enterprise cloud, data and security solution implementation and operations experience, including identifying the relationships between business services, information, applications, and global infrastructure assets.
• Skilled at explaining complex technical issues in terms understandable by the business
• Ability to make concrete progress in the face of ambiguity and imperfect knowledge (avoid “analysis paralysis”)
• Analytical abilities and proven design skills
• Experience providing training and mentorship
• Familiarity with compliance & security standards including PCI DSS, ISO 27001, and NIST

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $160,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $312,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
