As an Awake Overnight Counselor, you will play a vital role in maintaining the safety and well-being of clients in our chemical dependency community residence. Your responsibilities will include:
Providing overnight awake supervision to ensure the safety and security of clients.
Monitoring and assisting clients with medication management, adhering to East House medication policies and procedures.
Accurate documentation and maintenance of medication records.
Conducting audits of medication logs as directed by your immediate supervisor.
Regularly monitoring the environment to ensure security and safety, addressing any issues following unit procedures.
Responding promptly to crises and emergencies in line with East House policies and procedures.
Performing light housekeeping, cooking, and stocking of the kitchen as needed.
Providing clerical support, such as making copies and setting up files or folders, as directed.
Preparing and maintaining household supply inventory as instructed.
Completing routine facility maintenance tasks, including exterior maintenance such as clearing pathways.
Maintaining documentation in compliance with regulators, funders, and East House policies and procedures.
Conducting chart audits as directed by your supervisor.
Requirements
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in a similar role preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and respond effectively to emergencies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to work overnight shifts (Friday and Saturday, 11:15 PM to 7:15 AM).
Familiarity with the NYS Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) regulations is a plus.
Salary Description
$15.45-$17.00
