Overview
To oversee and direct the functions of the Lending Technology & Service Support branch, including the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of business process automated systems and production support and the planning, directing, and overseeing of acceptance testing of Lending's technology solutions. Provide process improvement leadership across Lending through the design, development, and execution of solutions to achieve strategic business performance goals and objectives. Provide strategic analysis and recommendations to influence key decisions by executive leadership. Manage daily activities of professional employees and/or managers. Serve as subject matter expert regarding branch production functions, systems, policies and/or procedures and access control. Support executive management in developing and executing strategic plans.
Responsibilities
Provide strategic direction and guidance to business units regarding Robotic Process Automation solutions and workflow collaboration softwareOversee the design and implementation of Robotic Process Automation technologies, tools and methodologiesUtilize process improvement tools and methodologies to define, analyze and modify business practices and procedures to ensure alignment with business objectivesDevelop and oversee branch strategy, establish priorities and set goals; evaluate and implement standards to ensure alignment with department/organizational objectivesOversee benchmarking and trend analysis to drive continuous process improvement, increase member experience quality, and maintain high operational efficiencyCollaborate with ETS to identify software applications/systems to improve competitiveness, operational efficiency, and quality of service to membersMonitor key performance indicators, determine gaps in performance metrics, and recommend/execute change management techniques for efficiency/quality improvementsIdentify and resolve operational and performance gaps and obstacles; implement changes and improvementsOversee internal processes and quality control audits to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, rules, regulations, industry best practices, and NFCU policies and proceduresOversee Agile development teams for application development and improvement projectsIdentify security deficiencies and risk factors and determine appropriate preventative measuresContribute to a culture of collaboration by actively working across business lines, communicating knowledge and business processes to other business unitsOversee the development, implementation and adherence to quality assurance and testing standards for new and/or existing applications and productsIdentify and resolve technical, tactical and operational systems issuesCollaborate with ETS, external vendors and internal technical teams to identify and drive technology-based process improvement and project opportunitiesAnticipate internal and/or external business challenges including regulatory; recommend process, product and service enhancementsManage and direct operations to ensure targets, service level agreements and corporate objectives are metManage production incidents from start to resolution and facilitate post incident reviews to prevent future occurrencesOversee the design, development, testing, configuration, and deployment of new applications, and/or enhancements to existing applicationsEnsure alignment of development of models, reports, documentation and related process improvement with industry standards and best practicesProvide forward thinking expertise in current and emerging trends, technologies, and practicesCollaborate/advise senior management on automation, testing and production support mattersOversee system access control functions to ensure adherence to enterprise and departmental policies/proceduresCollaborate with Lending Operational Risk to ensure compliance with enterprise information security standards and policies; support audits thereofServe as change management lead for business unit; apply change management principles and knowledge to develop strategies including organizational assessments, stakeholder analysis and change roadmaps and plansMaintain thorough knowledge of applicable federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and NFCU policies and proceduresMonitor and analyze changes to applicable federal and state laws, rules and regulations; develop action plans for implementation/disseminationPerform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Expert knowledge of applicable federal and state laws, rules and regulationsExpert knowledge of banking/financial industry trends, products, and servicesExtensive progressively responsible experience leading and managing an automated lending systems operation, preferably in a large financial institutionExtensive experience in large automated systems analysis, development, testing and deploymentExtensive experience in process re-engineering and design, business model innovation, and Proof of Concept (PoC)/prototypingExtensive experience working with large-scale, enterprise-wide automation platforms and technology systemsExpert knowledge of applicable federal and state laws, rules and regulationsExpert knowledge of banking/financial industry trends, products, and servicesExtensive progressively responsible experience leading and managing an automated lending systems operation, preferably in a large financial institutionExtensive experience in large automated systems analysis, development, testing and deploymentExtensive experience in process re-engineering and design, business model innovation, and Proof of Concept (PoC)/prototypingExtensive experience working with large-scale, enterprise-wide automation platforms and technology systemsExpert knowledge of Robotic Process Automation technologies, collaborative client-server software platform technology, and software quality assuranceExtensive experience managing cross-functional, multi-dimensional teams and projects of the highest complexity which have business risk and impactAdvanced knowledge of data querying, reporting, forecasting, analysis and operations research, including statistical methods and modelingExtensive experience supervising and leading employeesExpert planning, organizational and problem solving skillsExpert skill producing desired results and achieving goals and objectivesExpert skill communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiencesExpert skill interacting with staff, management, vendors and members diplomatically and tactfullyExpert skill presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives and information clearly and conciselyExpert verbal and written communication skillsExpert database, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software skills

Advanced knowledge of NFCU policies, procedures, products, and servicesAdvanced knowledge of NFCU Lending systems and softwareWorking knowledge of development or operations framework methodologies, including Information Technology Infrastructure Library, Systems Development Life Cycle, etc.Scrum Master, Project Management Professional and/or Continuous Improvement methodologies and tools (Six Sigma)
