The AV Site IT Lead role will be a crucial role in the Digital Site IT organization as Mars associates expect a high level of quality, reliability, and collaboration from the conference room technology. Among other things, this role will lead large AV refresh projects, managing the external AV integrators and installation crews to ensure the best user experience the technology can offer. This role will also work to implement a centralize management and quality testing solution for all rooms in US and Canada to ensure all rooms are always optimized.
What are we looking for?
Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 2 years' experience as a lead AV technician, overseeing technical projects and/or crews, or any equivalent combination of related education and experience.CTS-I, CTS-D is a plus. Experience leading and supporting AV projects preferred.Applicants should be prepared to discuss examples of completed projects and provide references.Proven track record of working remotely, individually and in team setting. Proven business facing experience at a senior stakeholder level.Experience defining and developing digital strategies.Keen technology enthusiast who has a pulse on latest and emerging technology trends. Demonstrate flexible approach to managing stakeholders at varying level and a high degree of approachability. Ability to evaluate trade off /Impacts.Perspective and judgement in decision making. Ability to evaluate process and technology alternatives. Consultative skills, problem analysis, negotiation and Influencing skills.Understanding of customer centricity, agile ways of working, and project / change management is core to this role.
What would be your key responsibilities?
Act as Meeting Room Technology lead for future town hall style special broadcast events. Work with stakeholders to identify requirements and design a solution in partnership with the Local IT Site Owners and Managed Service Provider to execute with the highest quality.Be a Mars Meeting Room Technology Expert consulting/overseeing in all US/Canada room refresh projects while connecting with local Site IT ownersProduction, including a good knowledge of live streaming and general video production/broadcasting techniques for occasional critical townhalls with the highest visibility for Mars businesses.Lead Regional project to implement solutions to centrally manage and support all conference rooms in North America eliminating the need for in-person room checks.Meet frequently with key vendor account reps and attend annual AV conferences with Logi, Poly, Microsoft, Yealink, etc. to stay current on technology updates and industry trends.Create an innovation mindset with the team in this space by advocating the team to test new and emerging technologies and by creating a solution to records findings and track updates.Be seen as a Regional Meeting Room Technology Leader / Expert in the Site Support Organization partnering closely with the Global Room System team to drive optimized processed and excellent user experience.Lead the Meeting Room Technology Area as a program to innovate with our Segment DT partners and upskill our Digital Site IT organization.
