South Puget Sound Community College{rel="nofollow"} (SPSCC) seeks candidates for the 2024-2025 academic year to fill the position of Automotive Professor, Full-Time Tenure Track. The effective date of employment will be September 11, 2024. SPSCC has a three-year faculty probationary period leading to tenure.The instructor should be able to teach and guide students in the diagnosis and repair of passenger car and light trucks in both lecture and lab settings. This is a full time-tenure track position with a total starting salary of $73,700. This salary includes a base salary of $67,300 for 177 contract days plus a stipend of $6,400 paid over the course of the academic year. If granted tenure, the base salary will increase to $71,863. On July 1, 2024, Faculty will receive a COLA of 5.87%. Faculty are also eligible for a Retention and Progression Salary Enhancement of $1,000 added in the 5th, 10th, and 15th year after tenure. Additionally, eligible faculty can apply for up to $3,000 annually for professional development funding.
