We are looking for an Automation Engineer to support our IT Customer Experience Systems Engineering Integrations and Automations team. As Zendesk scales, we are actively working to drive productivity and greater efficiency across the organization.
In this role you will develop software solutions using Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) and other low code/no code tools, as well as engineer code-based, cloud compute services. You will help the business automate manual and repetitive tasks and workflows, integrate and synchronize data across an array of SaaS business systems, and deliver engineering solutions and services to facilitate an easy, simplified and friction-free experience while using and supporting Zendesks products.
You will support our internal customers as an integration expert, contributing to all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC): helping the business identify automation and data integration opportunities, work with analysts and project managers to capture requirements, participate in solution design sessions, build software using an agile scrum methodology, test solutions to meet high quality standards, release software on a predictable and planned schedule, and finally - provide internal business customers with dedicated support. You will be involved in implementing new tools and related integrations and will have an opportunity to learn, evaluate, and chip in to our tech stack of pioneering tools, to keep critical business systems and processes running efficiently.
You will work closely with a world-class organization of technology and business leaders to understand critical business processes, unblock manual challenges and help teams achieve their business goals, rapid growth and transformation.
The ideal candidate for this role has a consistent track record and passion for creative and scalable automation and working across the business to independently assess problems and deliver technology solutions.
What youll be doing:
Build out costs, benefits / value, risks, and alternatives to proposed software solutions, including workflow automations, business system integrations, and data pipelinesIdentify efficient tools for identified use cases and collect business requirements.Design, develop, document, test and deploy custom engineered solutionsDiagnose and understand the impact of automation with other systems. Collaborate with IT to ensure application & systems architecture & security guardrails & governance are adhered to fix application problems and propose optimal resolutionsEffectively communicates technical solution implementation project plans, action requirements to team members and partners, provide updates on project status and achievement
What you bring to the role:
3+ years of automation or integration engineering work experience with demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities through previous experience and educationProficient in workflow automation tools or an iPaaS: e.g., Workato, ServiceNow, Dell Boomi, (Salesforce) Mulesoft, Salesforce Flowbuilder, Tibco, Jitterbit, Snaplogic, Tray.io, Informatica, OracleProficiency in development using Cloud platform technologies, specifically, Amazon Web Services (E.g. AWS Lambda, AWS EC2, AWS API Gateway, AWS SNS and SQS, AWS EventBridge, AWS Kinesis, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CloudWatch), however, any Cloud platform like Google Cloud Platform (E.g. Google Cloud Functions, Google Cloud Run, Google Cloud Integrations, Google Big Query) or Microsoft Azure (E.g. Azure Functions, Azure API Management) is acceptableDirect experience working on integrations between common SaaS business applications (E.g.Salesforce, Zuora, Netsuite, Coupa, GSuite, Workday, Eloqua.) and various databases (E.g. The Poland annualized base salary range for this position is zł138,000.00-zł208,000.00. Please note that while the salary range represents the minimum and maximum base salary rate for this position, the actual compensation offered will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, or related incentives that will be communicated during the offer stage.
