AutoCAD Operator/Electrical Designer
Fountain Services, LLC is seeking a qualified AutoCAD Operator/Electrical Designer for its rapidly growing commercial/industrial electrical contracting operations in North and South Carolina. Minimum Experience requirements:
Proficiency in AutoCAD software and other relevant CAD tools as well as a strong understanding of 2D and 3D modeling required.
Associate degree or equivalent in Drafting or related field is preferred.
Additional requirements and/or Expectations:
Applicants must possess a High School diploma or GED.
Applicants must pass a mandatory drug screen and background check.
Training in an apprenticeship or similar program, or in a trade or technical school is preferred.
Relevant licenses and/or certifications are preferred.
Applicants should have excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Applicants must be able to multi-task and work well under time constraints.
Job Description:
Drafting and Design:• Use AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, Bluebeam software to create detailed 2D and 3D drawings for electrical construction projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and production managers to understand project requirements, assemblies, and specifications.
Plan Interpretation:• Interpret and translate power, architectural, and construction plans into layout drawings for field installation.
• Ensure that designs adhere to industry standards and project guidelines.
Revision and Modification:• Revise and modify existing drawings as directed by project managers or engineering managers.
• Keep accurate records of all revisions and changes made to drawings.
Quality Control:• Conduct thorough reviews of drawings to identify and correct errors or discrepancies.
• Ensure that drawings are in compliance with company standards and applicable regulations.
Collaboration:• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electricians, engineers, and other stakeholders, to integrate design changes and modifications.
• Participate in design review meetings and provide input on technical aspects.
