(HATCI) is currently looking for a Counsel at its Superior Township, MI location to perform the following duties:A legal generalist who is an excellent communicator, team player, detail-oriented, willing to learn, self-motivated, confident, and interested in helping create a happy, healthy, and productive work environment on the Legal Team. The ideal candidate must possess planning and organizational skills, the ability to adapt to changing priorities, be deadline-driven, have sound judgment and decision-making skills, be able to effectively handle sensitive and confidential information, work well under pressure and be a multitasker. This role will report directly to the General Counsel.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:Employment: Offering legal advice and counsel to the Human Resources department, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws related to employment, labor, and other relevant areas.Litigation: Manage all facets of litigation and disputes which include employment, consumer, contractual, commercial, or other kinds of legal disputes. Also, Counsel will conduct internal investigations; support discovery efforts; draft and review discovery requests/responses, pleadings, and briefs; direct litigation strategy; and negotiate settlements.
