Attack Surface Management Analyst
The Thomson Reuters Information Security and Risk Management (ISRM) organization is seeking a Attack Surface Management Analyst to join our growing global Security Operations team.
About the Role
In this opportunity as Attack Surface Management Analyst, you will:
Monitor for 0day and other critical security vulnerabilities; Work alongside our Cyber Threat Intel, Security Operations and Product Security teams; Help prepare internal security alert notifications. Support teams when our emergency scenarios trigger and work towards remediation at scale.Manage, automate, and integrate our cyber analytics platforms (e.g., BitSight).Identify vulnerability patterns and work to get rid of entire class of vulnerabilities to consistently improve our public security posture; Support our time-boxed initiatives to tackle worst offenders patterns at scale and at pace.Support the analysis of application security and vulnerability management reports and work with the various business units to implement and follow-up on remediation efforts.Recommend security controls and corrective actions to mitigate technical and business risks.Contribute to and maintain documented policies, standards, and guidelines.Understand and communicate industry trends, customer needs, business risk tolerance, and business environments related to information security.
About You
You're a fit for the role of Attack Surface Management Analyst if your background includes:
Bachelor in Information Security or related degree preferred; Industry certs preferred.2+ years of experience with a focus on cyber defense (vulnerability management, threat management, incident response, product security).Knowledge and experience with diverse IT architectures, external hosted services, cloud computing environments, server and network device configurations.Technical expertise in assessing vulnerabilities/threats at the O/S, middleware and application levels to drive remediation with efficiency.Proficient with git, scripting, and database querying: Python, PowerShell/Bash, SQL.Proficient with cloud technologies, AWS preferred.Proficient building reports with PowerBI.Experience in managing the BitSight and/or SecurityScorecard cyber analytics platforms, both using the UI and APIs preferred.Experience using Qualys, RiskIQ PassiveTotal (now Microsoft) or Shodan.
