Robert Half Marketing & Creative is working with a busy Portland agency client that is looking for an Associate Writing Director.
Responsibilities:
Write in a variety of styles and formats for varied clients at the highest level of execution.
Establish the bar for writing on the team, innovate best practices, and evolve the practice through the work.
Communicate and present work effectively, and collaborate closely with clients and team members from discovery through delivery.
Improve overall quality by studying and evaluating output, reworking creative processes, and implementing changes. Provide influencing ideas to enhance department and discipline processes.
Generate and explore a variety of ideas. Move quickly from thinking to doing.
Go wide, think big, and bring concepts to fruition with a range of approaches. Give shape to bold ideas through execution.
Make sense of complex systems and conjure inventive solutions through distillation and experimentation.
Ground the work in a deep understanding of the client and push on strategic insights to stretch creative opportunities.
Inspire the team with innovative solutions, pushing their thinking and skills to new heights.
Provide feedback to team members via creative reviews and mentor through the work.
Work proactively to find solutions and maintain momentum in our projects. Facilitate knowledge share with other creatives.
Be an advocate of exceptional writing and its role in shaping the work we do collectively.
Help the team adapt to evolving conditions.
This role is 100% remote, 20 hours per week, for at least 11 months.

Requirements
Experience with clients at large fortune 100 companies and/or C-level of startups
5-8 years’ relevant experience in writing for digital products and experiences that have been released to market
An outstanding portfolio with details on your specific role and contribution
Range and variety in voice, client challenges, and projects
Innovative/fresh and conceptual thinker
Content strategy knowledge
Strong collaboration, communication, and presentation skills
