Associate Visual Designer
Job location: This is a remote/hybrid position. You can work from home and be located Toronto or Montreal. If you are located in Ottawa we work in a hybrid environment where you will be expected to go into the office 3 days per week.
About the team
The Associate Visual Designer supports the creative team in creating visual content for a variety of media and projects. The incumbent will execute design concepts while maintaining the visual identity of the Kinaxis brand.
The incumbent will work under the guidance and direction of the Senior Manager, Creative and in collaboration with the creative and marketing teams to ensure design work aligns with project goals and timelines
What you will do
Reporting to our Senior Creative Manager you will support a range of tasks, from creating digital display ads to coordinating with integrated marketing campaign deliverables, spanning multiple touchpoints from email banners to event design. Develop a diverse array of design elements, including branding, presentations, decks, website UI, motion graphics, and digital ads, adapting to the specific needs of each situation. Engage in cross-functional design projects across various departments, simplifying complex narratives into compelling design concepts to meet stakeholder needs. Collaborate with team members to contribute creative ideas and bring them to fruition in final design solutions. Advocate for and accurately implement brand guidelines, fostering the evolution of brand identity and visual language to broaden audience reach. Provide conceptual and design ideation support for campaigns and collateral, aiding in the development and delivery of brand assets.
What we are looking for
College diploma or university degree in graphic design, visual design or related or, 1-2 years related graphic/visual design experience A portfolio site with samples of work along with descriptions of what you contributed to the project A clear, concise, and professional communicator with the ability to present information, knowledge, and content with justification Analytical and problem-solving skills; Demonstrates ability to think creatively when faced with challenges
Role Specific Skills and Experience
The ability to collaborate with multiple clients, stakeholders, and the broader marketing team to ensure ongoing connectivity Conceptual understanding and knowledge design principles, layout, typography and colour theory Proficiency in graphic design software, particularly Adobe Creative Suite
