Boeing is seeking Associate Test & Evaluation Lab Techs to work in the Haleakala National Park, HI location.

Position Responsibilities:
The Test & Evaluation Lab Tech will operate observatory telescopes, computers and sensor systems
Conduct system and sensor pre/post mission procedures to include but not limited to: pre-operational equipment checks, pre-mission checks and coordination, mission conduct communication plan, and calibration baselines
Work under general direction from internal and external customers, and support specific requirements of complex data collection
Provides basic electronic support to sensor development, sustainment, modernization and upgrades
Interface with engineers, technicians, management, internal/external customers, for direction, collaboration, approval, and identification of solutions to resolve operations related needs
Operate observatory telescopes, computers and sensor systems
Perform electronic tech level preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and recovery on a broad variety of related operational instruments and equipment. Including but not limited to; Computer/PLC and industrial control systems, servo motors, drives and encoders, weather, hydraulic, gas and other monitoring systems
Prepare and report after action results to meet government, engineering, customer and program requirements
Support continuous training in the operation and maintenance of telescopes, sensors and computers
Works under close supervision
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. Candidates will work rotating shifts that include daytime, evening/night and weekend shifts to support operations and maintenance schedules. Also, you will work at 10,000 ft. elevation at the Haleakala National Park / Observatory.
Work Authorization:
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical data
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Education or experience with electronic control systems/sensors
Education or experience with any of the following, Electronic Systems, Optical Systems, IT Systems, Laser Systems, Hydraulic Systems, Mechanical Systems
Experience using LINUX operating systems
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range: 47,600 - 64,400
