The Associate, Strategy and Governance, will play an integral part in supporting the day-to-day work of the Strategy pillar within the Global Corporate Citizenship and Sustainability team. This role will be part of a larger team focused on executing against enterprise-wide sustainability goals and priorities, and developing tools and resources to enable brands, regions, and functions to embed sustainability across the business. The Associate will play a key role in measuring, tracking, and managing product impact efforts and help facilitate and support enterprise goals executed by other departments/functions.
Goal Governance (50%)
Serve as first point of contact for goal governance, aggregating and consolidating data and requests from SMEs. Support the preparation of the quarterly goal report, working with goal leads to ensure all goals, metrics and achievements are reported accurately and pulling data from CCS. Maintain existing goal governance documents, including the pending goals tracker, ensuring data is relevant and kept up to date as changes to the organization and goals occur. Support new goal leads to assist them in the completion of the new goal documentation, ensuring timeline is established and all relevant parties are kept informed. Conduct benchmarking to provide recommendations on new goals/ambition.
Enterprise and Brand Strategy (30%):
Collect and consolidate quarterly progress against previous year's ESG Strategy to communicate progress and challenges to executive leadership. Aggregate external trends and benchmarks for insights to inform strategy development. Support the development of annual ESG strategy by consolidating information and creating PowerPoint slides. Perform brand portfolio analysis to identify citizenship & sustainability focus areas for priority brands & regions. Support Consumer Insights projects to provide insights on Sustainability and Social Impact to brands and regions.
Strategic Initiatives (20%)
Assist with developing and editing presentations in PowerPoint for various meetings. Participate in various meetings and workstreams to support group in tracking actions, follow up communications, and coordination of meetings. Support key strategic initiatives, including the Governance and Social Subcommittees, helping to consolidate information across the enterprise and preparing for meetings and presentations.
Qualifications
2-3 years of relevant professional experience from a top-tier consulting firm, NGO working with business, or a CSR/sustainability, corporate affairs or similar role in the private sector. Experience working in a multi-branded retail company or other industry with high-profile consumer brands a plus. High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent project management skills and experience working on multiple, disparate projects simultaneously. Well-developed interpersonal skills for high-level interaction with other functions and brands. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to conduct extensive research, and to analyze, synthesize and make meaning of data. Fluent in both written and conversational English; fluency in a second language an advantage. High ethical standards and commitment to core values of leadership, respect and integrity.
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $60,500 to $90,500. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
