What team will you be on?
The BlackRock Investment Institute (BII) team is at the heart of BlackRock's investment debate and portfolio construction. BII is able to draw on insight and data from across Blackrock's investment teams and covers macro issues, markets and portfolio construction. We provide actionable conclusions for Blackrock's portfolio managers and clients. Our nimble, global team has outsized impact on BlackRock's performance, commercial success and brand.
Reflecting its central role, BII is expanding its research capability and opening up opportunities for applicants with different experience levels. We are hiring for an Associate position in our Budapest office.

What will you be doing?
You may be creating quantitative stochastic and statistical financial forecasts and projections across different regions and time horizons, and fine-tuning asset allocations and processes to support to help our portfolio managers in their investment decisions.
This includes:
Generating BlackRock's industry-leading, climate-aware Capital Market Assumptions. You will help us build new quantitative models to project the returns of assets through time.Developing new asset allocations with new analytics to improve the construction of portfolios and help clients meet their long-term investment objectives.Building our 'next generation' simulation framework, playing a key role in the research and development of our next generation macroeconomic and asset pricing stochastic simulation framework.Delivering content to build our brand: You will help us to communicate our research in internal and external publications, client meetings and media appearances.
What are we looking for?
A demonstrably quantitative and creative mind, with a degree in a quantitative field (e.g. economics, finance, engineering, physics, and math).Strong communication skills and ability to distil research for broad consumption.Strong statistical modelling and data analysis skills.Open-minded thought process and intellectual curiosity.Motivated team player, flexible in approach and ability to work independently.Responsive with keen attention to detail.Strong understanding of the use of computer technology in financial and economic research, with strong statistical package programming skills (e.g., R, Python) Intuition for and a passion in financial markets and with experience in the finance sector.

Our hybrid work model
BlackRock's hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Employees are currently required to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
