The Clinical Development Academy hires groups of colleagues aligned to their background and career goals- delivering best in class training to prepare them for a successful career in clinical research at Thermo Fisher Scientific. We are currently hiring for our mid-career track, uniquely designed for experienced project and program management professionals interested in building a career in the contract research organization (CRO) industry. Participants in the program are full-time colleagues with benefits. Successful applicants will join a cohort of their peers in a training program that prepares them to move into an Associate Project Manager (APM) role. At the end of the program, successful academy members will transition to full time role on the clinical project management track.
These positions are remote-based opportunities, but this job posting is specifically for east coast applicants.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities of the APM role:
Own a sub-set of project tasks as deputized by the Project Lead to support the cross-functional delivery of the project
Create, track and update project plansCompile project reports and status updatesCoordinate and lead internal & external (if needed) project team meetingsContributes to the day-to-day management of project finances including performing financial analyses, updates and required follow-up with functional leads when necessaryOwn vendor management activityBring together information from internal project functions to coordinate the execution of project deliverablesManage and coordinate cross-functional gathering of information for the project Risk Register (from initiation to closure)Maintain compliance with all PPD policies, SOPs, ICH- GCP, regulatory and project specific requirements

Qualifications - External
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualificationPrevious experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 5+ years).Experience working in another industry in a project or program management capacityClient facing experience preferred
