Associate Product Manager
Overall
• Take a data-driven approach to devising go to market strategies, identifying opportunity areas, prioritizing work to deliver against key areas of focus.
• Leverage data & dashboards (databases / excel / tableau) to quickly identify performance challenges and providing insight to senior mgmt. Make recommendations to address issues and propose action plans to address the situation.
• Leverage working knowledge of Mastercard business, systems, products and customer requirements in making fact-based business and product decisions.
• Actively partner with other teams and stakeholders to create best practices within the Program with a focus on driving continuous improvement in the Program's operating model and make proposals to Program leadership on enhancement opportunities.
• Provide insightful reporting to ensure product performance is monitored and over / under performance quickly identified, and root cause analyse produced to prompt a business response.
• Drive product development focusing on customer journey and experience
Prepare launches and monitors product performance, adoption, and operational health.
• Review information on competitors' product offerings, business models and technology innovations on a regular basis and shares findings
• Identify opportunities to improve an overall product lifecycle processes.
• Make a point to listen, observe and understand senior management and cross-functional team perspectives and/or preferences; ask effective questions to clarify understanding.
• Use customer needs, research, user studies, metrics and competitive analysis to document business and product requirements and inform the backlog.
• Display judgment to know when to escalate issues and liaise with cross-functional teams for resolution.
• Stay aligned with GTM plans for the product set.
• Report status and manage risks within their primary product team
• Take initiative and actively seek and participate in activities which stretches ones existing skill set
• Participate in team prioritization discussions with Product/Business management.
• Mentor and guide new and less-experienced team members.
• Assists with candidate selection and onboarding.
• Share and seek knowledge within the Guild/Product to drive reuse of best practices and enhance productivity.
