The Strategic Sourcing & Real Estate (SSRE) department plays a critical role in The Hartford's future by operating as a trusted business advisor with deep expertise that advances The Hartford's business objectives and delivers exceptional customer experiences. SSRE is structured with three category management teams, Professional and Corporate Services, Technology & Outsourcing and Claims, complemented by sourcing delivery teams. We operate as advisors with our customers to positively impact business strategy, while optimizing the way we use third parties to meet enterprise and business unit objectives comprehensively.
The main goal of the Associate Procurement Specialist is to support procurement transactions and processes. Reporting to the Supplier Enablement & Quality Lead, this role will provide critical support for onboarding suppliers, ensuring data quality, focus on process efficiency and troubleshooting.
This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working in an office in Hartford, CT, 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).
Responsibilities include:
Partner with internal stakeholders (i.e., Accounts Payable, Sourcing and the business) for the efficient onboarding of suppliers and excellent customer experience.Provide administrative support for MNDA (Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement) activities, including data entry and report generation.Interact with the procurement system, myBuy, to maintain data, pull reports and manage workflow.Troubleshoot issues timely and through resolution.Support Procurement Operations quality goals, including follow-up with business stakeholders on outstanding items.Support audit activities as necessary.
Job Qualifications:
0-2 years of experience in procurement or supply chain activities.Bachelor's degree in business or experience in procurement, preferred.Demonstrated ability to learn new systems quickly.Strong attention to detailProven organizational abilities for a fluctuating and multi tasked environment.Team playerWork independently when required.Strong customer service skillsSkilled in Word, Excel and PowerPointHighly motivated self-starter with a can-do attitudeFoster a positive team environment.
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
