  What you'll do:As an Associate Principal Analyst, you will engage clients every day supporting their mission critical priorities, helping them to make the right decisions for their role and business. To support these conversations you will research markets, practices and trends, and partner with peers to create actionable content for Gartner clients. You will showcase your own thought-leading research, growing your knowledge and your brand as a Gartner Expert.

  Conduct research and analysis that aligns to client priorities in certain areas of expertise, to include (improving the efficiency of product development processes and teams, integrating technology solutions into the concept development and testing, and facilitating strong product handoffs with manufacturing and other functions.

  Respond to client questions and deliver high quality actionable advice through a variety of media.

  Create clear, actionable, and consumable content.

  Predict how product development process technologies are developing, help clients in their decision process and assist vendors in overall market positioning.

  Remain ahead of the curve on developments and issues within these specified areas through peer collaboration within your team.

  Proactively work with the wider sales and service organization and deliver outstanding client support in order to retain and grow the business.

This means you will need to further develop your knowledge of your markets, vendors, trends, and management practices.   Help us see the future & be creative. You must be a lifelong learner with foundational knowledge and experience in R&D, specifically with regard to the new product development process.

  Solid understanding of product development process best practices in manufacturing-intensive industries, like industrial manufacturing, aerospace & defense, chemicals, food and beverage.

  Subject matter knowledge in product lifecycle management, with the ability to demonstrate insight for R&D leaders to help them introduce new products with significant commercial impact)

  Understanding of and curiosity about the larger business impact of new technology and business trends on new product development, and how these can be navigated successfully

  3-5 years of relevant and demonstrable experience.

  Bachelor's or equivalent experience.

  Willing to occasionally travel, regionally and globally.

  Business Acumen. Understand how an organization operates (risks and opportunities) and the drivers of a company's performance.

  Intellectual Agility. Critical thinker with the ability to process and understand information quickly, diagnose the issue in order to take positions and make actionable and impactful recommendations.

  Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 68,800 USD - 98,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Our talent acquisition team will provide the specific opportunity on our bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates. We also offer market leading benefit programs including generous PTO, a 401k match up to $7,200 per year, the opportunity to purchase company stock at a discount, and more.
