The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization, Vertical Lift Division, is seeking an Associate or Experienced Electrical, Wiring and Equipment Manufacturing Planner (Level 2 or 3) to join our team in Ridley Park, PA. We provide direct support on H47 Chinook Program for a variety of domestic and international customers. Our group works all facets of engineering from technology investment, concept development, proposal writing, requirements and design, build, integration, test, and demonstration of products in their relevant environments.
Position Overview:
The Electrical, Wiring and Equipment Manufacturing Planner will be a part of a high-performing team that are immersed in high intensity projects. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to support the production and growth of Chinook programs to ensure delivery of high-quality products to our customers. This position will focus on the development of new manufacturing work instructions based on new designs, while also supporting our active production line. This role will require an understanding of standard aerospace processes and procedures, and technical expertise to develop the best possible solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide producibility input to design, assembly and testing for Wire Harnesses, Electrical Equipment, Panels, Avionics Shelves and Equipment Installations.
Develop and implement production and tooling methodologies for the installation of wiring and electrical equipment onto H-47 Aircraft.
Develop and release manufacturing plans and detailed work instructions from 2D drawing-based engineering and from 3D model-based engineering, using both 2D and 3D model based work instructions with graphics while overseeing plan and build optimization.
Participate on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
Develop statements of work and committed schedules for program baselines and change requests, and proactively manage task execution to ensure on time completion and delivery of high quality manufacturing engineering products.
Actively participate in 3D and 2D Electrical, Wiring, & Equipment Engineering Design reviews, along with aircraft-level design reviews, to evaluate design proposals and provide recommendations for optimal ease of manufacturing build.
Develop, identify and implement build concepts and maintain the program architecture for build.
Conduct producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches Engineering design and specification requirements.
Assist in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and document best practices.
Analyze design/build concepts to evaluate design/build definitions.
Resolve technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule.
Coordinate and implement new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.
Validate and ensure production readiness of solutions to complex problems.
Implement lean principles and technologies.
Work Authorization:
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. confidential clearance Post Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.).
1 year or more of experience in manufacturing engineering experience.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5 years or more of experience working in manufacturing engineering.
1 year or more of experience working in the defense or aerospace industry.
1 year or more of experience working in Electrical Harness/Cable/or Equipment manufacturing engineering.
Working knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering processes and procedures, including Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
Typical Education / Experience:
Level 2
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.).
Level 3
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).

Typical summary pay range (Level 2): $60,350 – 81,650.
Typical summary pay range (Level 3): $69,700 – $94,300.
