Moody's Investors Service Second Party Opinion Team is hiring!
Sustainable finance has a key role to play in the world's transition to a low-carbon and sustainable economy by channeling financing into investments with clear environmental/social benefits.
Long-term growth potential for sustainable finance is strong: Moody's forecasts issuance of green, social, sustainability and sustainability-linked (GSSS) bonds to total $950 billion in 2023. In turn, market participants are increasingly demanding accurate assessments detailing the sustainability credentials of an organization's bond and loan issuance.
Our Second Party Opinions (SPOs) bring clarity on whether GSSS financial instruments and/or financing frameworks meet market standards and their potential sustainability impact. Our role as an SPO provider is to support the integrity and clarity of a market that is becoming increasingly complex, covering a growing range of sectors and technologies.
We are a dynamic, multicultural team looking for professionals eager to take on the challenges that the transition to a sustainable, resilient and low-carbon economy represent. Join us as we grow our footprint in the Latin American sustainable finance market.
The Role
The Associate Lead Analyst will be focused on delivering Second Party Opinions to customers across a diverse set of sectors including the corporate, financial and public sectors. The successful candidate will possess ample knowledge of the sustainable finance space and demonstrable track record of working in Latin America. This is a visible external role that will require interaction with prospective and current customers and other market participants. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a rapidly growing and dynamic area of sustainable finance.

Contribute to thematic research that supports positioning Moody's as a leader in the sustainable finance space
Contribute to the sustainable finance team's analytical development and analysis of market trends
Guide and mentor more junior staff, effectively managing joint tasks
Support other projects furthering thought leadership, process improvement and innovation
Qualifications
Graduate degree (e.g., MBA, Master's) with 3-4 years of relevant work experience or undergraduate degree (e.g., Bachelor's) with at least 5 years of relevant work experience
University degree(s) ideally in environmental science, engineering, social sciences, economics, finance, international relations or other relevant fields
