Position Summary
We are currently looking for a mid-level litigation associate with experience in trademark, trade secrets and false advertising to join our Washington DC, Silicon Valley, New York, Boston, Chicago, Miami, Houston, or Los Angeles office.
In addition to excellent academic credentials, you should have a good basic grasp and experience in the areas pertinent to our work. To thrive in this complex and highly specialized field, you will also need to be a quick learner, open to new areas of knowledge and comfortable with on-the-job training.
Combining a keen eye for detail with an ability to see the bigger picture, you should possess excellent research and drafting skills, and both the analytical rigor and creative flair required to translate large volumes of information into original legal arguments. You will need to demonstrate focus, tenacity, and a genuine enthusiasm for the challenges of our work.
A strong team player, you should also be independent and self-motivated; excited by the opportunities for learning and professional development, and eager to take on responsibility whenever possible.

Our IP attorneys partner with clients, providing practical solutions and counseling for their most complex issues. They routinely litigate high-stakes cases for some of the world's most renowned brands before federal trial and appellate courts, the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) of the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), and the National Advertising Division. Our team counsels clients on advertising claims substantiation (including such cutting-edge areas as sustainability/ESG, Web3 and blockchain, and social media campaigns and promotions), trademark enforcement, copyright, and right of publicity issues.
The work can be demanding, but is always rewarding-both in terms of the satisfaction of contributing to your team's success, and of supporting pioneering companies engaged in high-profile, high-stakes disputes that have a lasting impact on people's lives.
Duties and Accountabilities
Provide trademark counseling to clients Conducting brief or somewhat more complex research, or drafting of memoranda (search for judicature, commentaries to specific legal issues) Support both counseling and litigation for trade secret, trademark and false advertising matters Communication with clients (via telephone, E-mail) Conducting brief or somewhat more complex research Involvement in due diligence - analysis of agreements in data room and their subsequent description Providing direct assistance to senior lawyers on matters arising in the course of day-to-day provision of legal services to leading international and domestic corporate clients Joining educational seminar and practice groups
Qualification
3+ years of relevant law firm or in-house experience Admitted to the Bar of the State the role will be located and practicing in, or eligible to take the bar exam or waive in Strong academic record and intellectual curiosity, creative thinker Commercial and business awareness Ability to see the big picture Outstanding communication and negotiation skills Strong time management skills, ability to stay calm under pressure when juggling multiple projects Excellent drafting skills Driven by professional growth Strong professional presence Client service focus Team player Strong judgment Proactive, resourceful, takes initiative
