Job Overview:
Perform detailed design engineering, analysis and calculations on basic engineering tasks. Apply knowledge and skills to complete routine assignments under close supervision and mentoring. Prepare clear and accurate detailed design calculations and analyses including design reports and procedures. Organize own work to meet deadlines set by others. Clearly communicate information, asking questions and checking for understanding.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Tasks Produces instrument database from P&I diagrams
Is able to perform calculations for control valves, safety relief valves and orifices
Is able to prepare instrument specifications/datasheets, especially for field instruments and do the related technical bid evaluations
Checks supplier drawings
Wiring & Loop Drawings
Cable schedules & block diagrams
Supervising vendor packages
Effective management of change
Communication and interface with other engineering disciplines
Works according to company/project standards, procedures and specifications
Is familiar with codes and standards for domestic and/or international and generally current on latest scientific and engineering methods
Possesses a technical knowledge of the detail design engineering process
Experience with the use of general application software
Experience with the use of Instrument Database applications (SPI / Aveva)
Commercial awareness
Essential Qualifications and Education:
Education B.Tech / BE degree – Instrumentation or equivalent;
Required Skills • Good command of English (both verbal and in writing)
Hands-on experience in EPC project execution in the Oil & Gas contracting industry
Experience 1-5 years
Good Communication skills, team player ·
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint & word ·
Able to deal with resistance, Meet deadlines and is able to handle changing needs and requirements.
Demonstrate understanding of procedures. Actively develop more FEED and EPC knowledge
