SUMMARY: We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Associate Operations Consultant to join our Northeast Employee Benefits (NE EB) team. The Associate Operations Consultant will primarily be responsible for working with the NE EB Director of Operations and other members of the NE EB Operations team to analyze data, deriving meaningful insights to help guide business decisions. This role will also be responsible for developing and updating KPI reports to support ongoing management and growth of the business across sales and service workflows.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop, update, and maintain KPI reports for various operational workflows to facilitate an accurate understanding of business performance. Collaborate with Operations, Account Management, Marketing, and Analytics teams to understand their reporting needs and design reports that reflect their objectives and goals. Analyze operational data to identify trends and communicate potential opportunities and risks. Help to drive efficiencies and implement improvements based on data analysis. Provide general support to the Operations team. On an as-needed basis, support benefit administration through billing reconciliation and consolidation assistance, including creation of client self-bills using various HRIS reports. Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all reporting and analyses. QUALIFICATIONS:
Up to 2 years’ progressive experience in the employee benefits brokerage/consulting industry. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical skills. Effective communication skills, with the ability to present insights in a clear and understandable manner. Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach. Strong ability to multi-task and assign priorities to various workstreams. High degree of interpersonal and writing skills. Knowledge of basic accounting and finance procedures. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with peers to structure analyses. KEY COMPETENCIES: Effective at stakeholder management and able to understand varying perspectives and goals. Maintains up-to-date workflow logs and records of project source data, methodological notes, and final product in an organized and approachable system. Approaches tasks thoughtfully and identifies process improvements that can be implemented and shared with colleagues. Projects a professional image in action and appearance. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: College degree in insurance, math or related field preferred Ability to effectively present information in a one-on-one and small group setting to technical and non-technical audiences. Systematic and creative thinker with a visual orientation. The national average salary for this role is $65,000 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
