About this role
Overview:
BlackRock's Emerging Markets Fixed Income group is hiring an EM Fixed Income Product Strategist to join the team. Reporting to the head of EMD product strategy, the strategist will play a vital role in supporting the growth of our EM fixed income business through their in-depth knowledge of the asset class and products.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Expertise:
Develop extensive expertise in EM fixed income products and emerging markets, staying updated on industry trends and regulatory changes, with a specific emphasis on EMD and ESG considerations.
Client/Sales Interaction and Analytical Responsiveness:
Act as a bridge between PMs and sales teams, efficiently managing client requests, protecting PMs' time, and responding promptly and analytically to product-related inquiries from relationship managers and clients using diverse sources.Generate flexible ad-hoc analyses for both existing and prospective clients. Proactively collaborate with BlackRock teams, obtaining and interpreting data for smooth responses.Provide comprehensive product training and support to sales teams.
Narrative Building and Presentation Development:
Derive insights from portfolio managers and research resources to craft compelling narratives. Actively contribute to creating narratives for our products, amplifying commercialization efforts. Develop engaging presentation materials, including customized decks, aligned with client meeting objectives.Assist in crafting tailored solutions for clients in coordination with portfolio managers.
Collaboration and Partnership:
Work with the Budapest team for seamless report production and joint projects. Partner with the ESG Fixed Income team on collaborative projects. Collaborate with internal teams, including team members and portfolio managers, to address requests and ensure effective communication.
Skills:
Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.A passion for fixed income and emerging markets. Interest in emerging markets economies, political systems and financial markets.Numerically literate, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong knowledge of fixed income products, including bonds, sovereign debt, and local currency debt.Excellent communication and writing with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner skills.Excellent interpersonal skills.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Absolute integrity, and strong work ethic.
Qualifications:
Educated to degree level.A relevant professional qualification is preferred but not mandatory.Knowledge of desktop applications (e.g. PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and familiar with information/data systems (e.g. Bloomberg, Eikon, Morningstar, etc). Strong xls user.Fluency in BlackRock systems is a welcome plus.

Our hybrid work model
