Associate Director/Director Business Operations
Leading and developing the Business Operations department which provides: E2E material mgmt. incl material planning based on production schedule as well as logistics & warehousing; direct and indirect procurement for the site; Business services resource supply/demand planning and the local Reliability Room structure
Essential duties
Defining and executing the departmental strategy in alignment with site strategy and priorities
Preparing and managing the departmental budgets for existing and new projects
Managing the departmental supply/demand, demonstrating resourcefulness in closing gaps
Departmental line management, creating an open, supportive and healthy working environment which fosters personal development
Ensure resources to represent the department in governance bodies and project teams as required
Ensuring an active connection to the Sr Management and with cross-site peers
Departmental communication and stakeholder management, including relevant suppliers and experts
Ensuring delivery on departmental project goals in line with site priorities, acknowledging individual and team performance
Mentoring and coaching direct reports, as well as others if required
Ensuring that departmental activities are performed in compliance with applicable regulations as well as legal, quality & EHS requirements
Reviewing departmental operations regularly to identify and address improvement areas (e.g. organizational structure, capabilities, capacity and processes) to maximize departmental performance and mitigate business continuity risk
Owning and develop business scope of the PLAN, SOURCE, DELIVER and RETURN areas
Process owner of the local SCM processes which allows to have an optimal material management
Business owner of the site’s ERP and MES systems
Develop and implement appropriate controls to monitor and maintain results and foster continuous improvement for business processes for the site
Qualifications
Bachelor or Master in relevant discipline like Supply Chain, Project Management and Business Economy
More than 10 years of experience as line and/or project manager in SCOR model business areas and process excellence
More than 5 years of cross-functional experience in biopharmaceutical industry
Business acumen/organizational savviness, social and emotional intelligence, interpersonal and conflict management skills, personal effectiveness – commensurate with the position being a senior leadership position
Fluency in English; working knowledge in German preferred
