Associate Director – Worldwide Commercial Strategy & Operations, Hematology
Description
The Associate Director, Worldwide Commercial Strategy & Operations is responsible for leading a cross-functional matrix team to streamline and optimize operations and drive strategies to impact our performance in Strategy Development, Business Development and Early Assets (SBDEA) across WW Commercial Hematology and Oncology. This individual will focus on developing innovative solutions to simplify operations across the WWC Hematology and Oncology Teams and its stakeholders, identifying inefficiencies, and ensuring solutions are aligned with the portfolio strategy.
The individual will work directly with the VP, Strategy, Business Development and Early Assets (SBDEA) and her Leadership Team in Hematology as well as the VP and Executive Director leads for Strategy, Business Development and Early Assets across Hematology and Oncology to coordinate with stakeholders across the Matrix.
The Associate Director will play an important role in functional planning, budget management as well as coordination of governance readiness. The Associate Director will also be project managing important initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify opportunities for simplification, apply appropriate level of rigor, propose solutions, and lead implementation across teams and functions.
Ensure processes and technical solutions are replicated and aligned across the WW Commercial Hematology and Oncology teams where feasible
Facilitate the annual functional planning process across the SBDEA teams in WWC Hematology and Oncology and ensure resource prioritization aligned with strategy, timely reviews and data entry to our budget management system, COMPASS
Facilitate the continuous discussion, management and updating of the SBDEA budget, ensuring that any changes in spending assumptions are reflected in our COMPASS system in a timely manner and that input to the P1-P3 projections are prepared in a timely manner
In collaboration with SBDEA Team members, coordinate and support recurring and ad hoc meeting activity, including impactful agendas and appropriate preparation for Governance meetings.
Support ad hoc projects as requested by the SBDEA VP and Executive Directors in alignment with the Senior Director, Strategy & Operations
Qualifications:
Candidate must have a BA/BS degree or equivalent; MBA is preferred
Marketing, sales, medical, GPS, operations or consulting experience preferred
Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders up, down and across the organization
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment and design and implement multiple projects simultaneously
Demonstrated experience in successfully executing projects across multi-functional teams
Concise and impactful oral and written communication skills
Has demonstrated project management skills
